In Ramadan, Muslims are encouraged to do worship and charity. Therefore, the students of the Study Program of Fine Arts (SPFA), Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) spread goodness by holding positive activities. They hold Ramadan charity. This activity was held in the LKSA Nurul Abyadh Orphanage.

In this activity, 13 students of SPFA from the 2015-2020 class, assisted by colleagues from Black Jack Slowbar, collect donations from Tuesday to Thursday (5/4-6/2020). The Ramadhan charity was held on Saturday (5/8/2020).

From the donation, the amount of cash collected was IDR 2,901,500,00. The funds came from donors and lecturers. The donation was used to buy necessities, drawing tools for children at the orphanage, and the rest was given in cash.

The head of the orphanage, Imam Hidajat, warmly welcomed the students. The students of SPFA taught the children in the orphanage to draw and to present their work. The activity went well and fun, filled with laughter.

“We hope that through this event, the children at the orphanage can continue to develop their creativity in the arts and be more courageous in expressing themselves.
