Friday (October 20th, 2023), the 2022 class of Brawijaya Fine Arts students held a class exhibition entitled “Unconfined Feelings Art Exhibition” from October 20th to October 22th, 2023 at Raos Gallery, Batu City. Unconfined Feelings means unconfined feelings, more detailed explanation of the exhibition was continued by the head organizer, Mega Julyartha in a pre-event interview on October 12, 2023 with the editorial team.
“Unconfined Feelings was inspired because we want to unite the different feelings of each UB 2022 Fine Arts student because each of them has their own feelings that are different and we made them into one in the form of this exhibition. Expressed through painting media.” explained Mega as the head organizer of Unconfined Feelings Art Exhibition.
A total of 40 paintings and 1 3D artwork will be displayed for the next 2 days at Raos Gallery, Batu City with the preparation of class 2022 friends since the beginning of this year. Then Mega also explained that each work of UB 2022 Fine Arts Students has a variety of genres and styles.
Not only art exhibitions, UB 2022 Fine Arts Students also held a several of interesting events in order to celebrate the Unconfined Feelings exhibition. Such as live mural events, live music, and workshops or talk show about the artworks.
Furthermore, the class exhibition became one of the “traditions” of UB Fine Arts to introduce freshmen to managing exhibition events outside the campus. This tradition is also a means for freshmen to explore skills in work while also providing output to introduce UB Fine Arts to the wider community.
“It’s good, the tone (style) in each students has begun to appear in their artworks. The event also cool with a live mural in front of Raos Gallery. Keep up the spirit for the future.” said David, one of the senior UB Fine Art students who participated in visiting the Unconfined Feelings Art Exhibition.
