(MALANG/14/08/23) Dreams and aspirations are now not only stored in the mind, but also painted beautifully on canvas. Nur Azizurrohmah, a student of the Fine Arts Study Program from the Faculty of Culltural Studies, Universitas Brawijaya, proved it by achieving a brilliant achievement in the national art competition “Canvas of Kindness”. The “Canvas of Kindness” competition was a collaboration between Capable Crafts as the organizer and painter Jerome Jonathan as the judge, where artists submitted paintings with the theme “Dream and Aspiration Room”.
At the “Canvas of Kindness” competition Nur Azizurohmah managed to obtain a certificate of appreciation as the 30 best participants. The works of the 30 best nominated participants were exhibited at Ashta District 8 from July 27 to August 4, 2024. This exhibition was a golden opportunity for the public to witness the creativity of Indonesia’s talented young artists. Even more proudly, Nur Azizurrohmah was declared the winner in the “Most Creative” category. The uniqueness of this competition is that it is not declared in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place categories, but the winners are declared in three categories: Most Creative, Best Technical Skill, and Best Following Theme. Nur Azizurrohmah won the award for the Most Creative category, reflecting the high level of innovation and imagination in her artwork.
Nur Azizurrohmah’s achievement is not only a source of pride for the Fine Arts Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Brawijaya but also paves the way for other Fine Arts students to dare to dream and work higher. This achievement shows the quality and potential of FCS UB fine arts students at the national level.
