Eight students of the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) become the Grand Champion in the MTQ UB competition which was held offline from Thursday (6/16/2022) to Sunday (6/19/2022). Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) is an annual agenda organized by UB Religious Arts UKM.
The first to third place winners will be re-selected with the winners of last year’s MTQ UB competition to be fostered and sent to the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran Mahasiswa Nasional (MTQMN) which will be held at Universitas Sriwijaya, Palembang, in October.
In this competition, there are eight competitions, namely MTQ, MTRQ (Musabaqah Tartil Qur’an), MHQ (Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an), MFQ (Musabaqah Fahmil Qur’an), MKTIA (Musabaqah Scientific Writing) Al-Qur’an), DAQ (Al-Qur’an Application Design), DIA (Scientific Debate Al-Qur’an), and MKQ (Musabaqah Khatil Qur’an). The competition took place in different faculties and buildings. However, the opening and awarding ceremony took place at the Auditorium of FILKOM UB on the second floor.
Eight FCS UB students who won the award were (1) Akhmad Taufik Munajat from the SPELE 2019 as the first winner of the Al-Qur’an English debate and the best speaker of the Al-Qur’an English debate, (2) Lailatul Mufidah from the SPFA 2020 as the second winner in the contemporary MKQ category, (3) Ihza Fi’lia from the SPILLE 2021 as the first winner of the MSQ, (4) Sony Syuro Nugroho from the SPA 2020 as the first winner of the MSQ and the first winner of the MTQ men, (5) Nilna Laila Mufida from the SPELE 2019 as the second winner of the female MTQ, (6) Resti Agita Farhani from the SPELE 2021 as the first winner of the Al-Qur’an English debate, (7) Fransiska Tarisa Putri from the SPILLE 2021 as the first winner of MSQ, and (8) Tezzar Aris Sandy from the SPFA 2019 as the first winner of the contemporary MKQ category.
