A group of fine arts students from Universitas Brawijaya held an exhibition titled “Starting Point” at Inspired27, from June 28 to June 30, 2024, 2nd floor, Jl. Soekarno-Hatta No. D-511, Malang. The exhibition was initiated by a group called Sengbrek, which was initially formed as a course assignment group. After the course ended, and under the leadership of Ian Khansa Witanta, within three years the Sengbrek group began to take the exhibition process seriously, which eventually developed the group into a more mature and productive community movement.

The theme of this exhibition aligns with its title, “Starting Point,” reflecting the beginning of the artists’ journeys. The exhibition features 21 works, all of which are collaborative pieces. Among these works, one is not from a fine arts student. These displayed works showcase the transformation and development of the Sengbrek group from merely an assignment group to a more serious and productive community in the world of fine arts.
