Eco-sufism is a new scientific discipline that the author borrows as an idea for the creation of artworks. The theme is considered to represent the author’s love for nature and spiritual themes. In addition, the presence of eco-sufism in society is a new alternative to seeing the problems of nature, namely the environmental crisis in various places.

This is in line with the author’s vision, that the creation of paintings with the theme of Eco-sufism is expected to integrate ecology as a science with the process of spirituality in order to build ecological wisdom and wisdom. This activity also aims to explain how the visualization of the author’s painting with the theme of eco-sufism. In the process of creating paintings, the author uses two theoretical foundations, namely metaphor and surrealism. Meanwhile, in the method of creating works, the author refers to the method initiated by Alma M. Hawkins, which is described in three stages: Exploration, Improvisation, and Forming.

The above instruments are expected to facilitate the author in the creation of paintings that will later use acrylic paint media on canvas. The author’s creation process above will result in eleven artworks, including The Gate, Natural Connection, Private Line, Greening Ritual and others. The concept of the presentation of the author’s work is made in an exhibition of paintings in Gallery Building A, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Brawijaya.
