Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) achieved two UB GIRAFFE Awards on Wednesday (8/17/2022). The awards were announced during the Commemoration of the 77th Independence Day of The Republic of Indonesia and UB GIRAFFE Award Event, which was attended by the rector, vice-rectors, deans, and other guests.
FCS UB won 3rd place in the Number of Intellectual Property Rights category. In addition, FCS UB also won 2nd place in the Number of Faculty Collaborations category. Hamamah, Ph.D., the Dean of FCS UB, represented FCS UB to receive the awards.
The GIRAFFE Award stands for Governance, Innovation, Reputation, Alumni, Faculty, Fund, and Efficiency. It is assessed based on several Key Performance Indicators (IKU) determined by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek). It also aims to improve the university’s international rankings, to foster healthy competition, and to appreciate faculties for maintaining their standards and enhancing their performance in various aspects.
