(Monday 11/03/24) On Saturday, August 26, 2023, the Fine Arts Study Program at FIB UB held a Link and Match Study Program Curriculum Evaluation activity with academic expert Dr. Tisna Sanjaya, S.Sn., Dipl.Art. This activity was held in order to update the curriculum on the basis of Link and Match the world of work and Digital Humanities.
Dr. Tisna Sanjaya, S.Sn., Dipl.Art, is an artist born in Bandung. He completed his undergraduate degree at ITB and continued his diploma studies in Germany in 1998. In 2008-2011, he attended the Doctoral program at the Indonesian Institute of Arts Yogyakarta. Apart from being a lecturer of environmental art and printmaking, Dr. Tisna also established a cultural center in the textile industry area. His works are frequently exhibited in various places, including in Singapore in 2011, and in Tokyo and Paris in 2015. In 2014, Dr. Tisna received the Adikarya Seni Rupa award for his work.
In the Link and Match Curriculum Evaluation activity which was attended by the Head of Study Program, all Lecturers and several Students of Fine Arts Study Program FIB UB, Dr. Tisna started an interactive discussion with the topic of Link and Match which needs to be understood in the world of creative work, where art institutions as one part of the art field in Indonesia have an important position with functions in the form of research, study, creation and art management.

From the discussion, several questions and responses emerged regarding the evaluation of how to respond to digitalization attached to the curriculum and how to implement it in the art world. Dr. Tisna conveyed his creative process during his time as an art practitioner at Institut Teknologi Bandung, where the process of his art activities regarding cultural and collective cultural events that were being implemented personally as well as institutionally, and eventually gave birth to the Art, Design and Environment course. Dr. Tisna intends to collaborate with research lecturers and students so that art practitioners can be exposed to the public by responding to the environment and things that usually happen in human life.

At the end of the discussion, Dr. Tisna argued that the Fine Arts Study Program of FIB UB as an institution needs to position the local culture of East Java as one of the uniqueness and excellence of the institution, especially its role in the art scene. Thus, Dr. Tisna hopes that the institution can attract the interest of other art practitioners, especially with support from the government and strengthen the management of local arts and traditions to involve more parties in the art scene. This discussion will later become a formulation in improving the quality of the curriculum in the Fine Arts Study Program at FIB UB and is expected to be well received by various parties to bring the study program, faculty and campus to a better level as an institution in the field of fine arts in Indonesia.
