(Malang, March 19, 2024) Three Fine Arts students from Brawijaya University carried out an internship at PT. Kawat Kuwat, a company engaged in contracting, art industry, sculpture, and themes. This company is dedicated to transforming spaces and experiences through creative innovation, specializing in the design and fabrication of sculptures, ranging from intricate small-scale works to stunning monumental pieces that leave a lasting impression. The three students participating in the independent internship are: Mohammad Logam from the Singorejo class of 2021, Kartika Maharani Dyah Puspita Khusnul Khotimah from the class of 2022, and Mochamad Nafid Alfaris from the class of 2022. This semester-long independent internship runs from March to July 2024, with 4 converted courses. The mechanism of this independent internship is that students choose several courses that can be converted into independent internships, then seek approval from the Academic Supervisor (PA) and the Program Chair.

Bodas Ludira Yudha, as the director of PT. Kawat Kuwat, directed the 3 internship students to practice directly, thus gaining experience working with other employees. As internship students at PT. Kawat Kuwat, the three students received training in reading technical drawings or sculpture design drafts. Students were asked to understand the structure of the sculpture or project to be made and understand sculpture materials. Next, students were directed to learn to create design patterns or 3-D armatures, practice constructing, and create stone textures for pond decorations. Here are some documentation of the activities that the students have done:
